Contribute to the publication of reference guides for readers worldwide, in French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, and Mandarin.
EDImonde Inc., an international publishing house specializing in high-quality reference guides, is seeking a passionate writer to participate in writing its books, specialized guides, and various publications.
The selected candidate will work closely with researchers, journalists, editors, graphic designers, and the editorial team to produce premium, reliable, structured, and accessible content.
Main Responsibilities
- Write books, reference guides, and other publications.
- Transform research and data into clear, accurate, and engaging content.
- Collaborate with researchers to validate information.
- Adapt writing style to different target audiences.
- Participate in planning and structuring books.
- Write introductions, chapters, sidebars, tables, captions, and other editorial content.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality of content.
- Update books for new editions.
- Collaborate with editors, graphic designers, translators, and project coordinators.
- Follow EDImonde editorial standards.
- Use leading artificial intelligence tools to improve research, writing, and productivity.
Required Skills
- Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written.
- Excellent writing, synthesis, and simplification skills.
- Strong ability to organize and structure information.
- Excellent writing quality and attention to detail.
- Ability to conduct in-depth research.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Word.
- Ability to effectively use leading generative artificial intelligence tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Manus, Copilot, etc.).
- Creativity, autonomy, and professional rigor.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Desired Profile
- We are looking for bilingual candidates (French and English). We also wish to recruit people who speak other languages, including German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, or Mandarin.
- Degree in writing, journalism, communication, literature, history, tourism, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience writing books, guides, magazines, or specialized content.
- Ability to work in a team and incorporate editorial feedback.
- Desire to contribute to creating reference books distributed internationally.
